Sign on weekend has now passed for 2017. Players may still register for ACE FC, but will be required to attend a weeknight at the club to complete the registration process. As the registration weekend has passed, we will be reviewing the numbers and closing of some age groups, so please register quickly to avoid disapointments as once age groups are full we will not be taking any more players.

Note: Grading also commences friom Monday 30th January for age groups U8 (Academy) and U9-U16 so delaying registrations will limit the clubs ability to assess players correctly to ensure that all players are in the correct divisions. NO players will be able to Grade without registering first as they are not covered by FFA insurance.

Our club is very popular - make sure you attend the sign on weekend as many of our age groups will fill up quickly

To sign on to ACE Football club please follow these steps; If you follow all the steps provided it will

make the sign on process much easier and faster for you.

Football Federation Australia has strong policies on age groups and we enforce these rulings.  It goes by the age you are in 2016—so if you are turning 10 during the year (in 2017) you will be in Under 10’s,  if you are turning 15 during the year you will be in under 15’s. Etc.

Information regarding grading for age groups will be loaded on the website as it is confirmed.

Where Does Your Money Go:

Unlike many other sports in Australia, Football (Soccer) is not subsidised in any way by any Government, Sporting or Administrative institution. Financial contribution of volunteers in Coaching Roles, Team Managers Roles, Management Committee, Executive Committee and Administration save our members more than $700,000 in costs every year. Without these volunteers, the cost of playing at ACE or any other Football club would increase by more than $800 for every junior and senior player currently in the club. Fees paid to join ACE are used to pay for the following items:

•National Registration Fee (FFA),

•State Registration Fee Football Queensland

Involvement of Parents as Team Coaches and Managers

ACE gives parents the opportunity to participate in their children’s sport by coaching or managing a team, irrespective of experience. Whilst we prefer coaches to have previous experience, formal qualifications or playing experience, we acknowledge that this is not always possible. ACE has numerous initiatives in place to assist parent coaches in coaching a team including the following:

•All new coaches are encouraged to participate in the Grass Roots Coaching Program which provides a good introductory overview of the role of the coach with guidance for training. This is provided free of charge -

•Coaches are to obtain their Blue Card

•Coaches are encouraged to complete Junior Coaching Licenses and provide financial support to all ACE coaches.

•Coaches are encouraged to complete Youth Coaching Licenses and provide financial support to all ACE coaches.

•ACE holds regular coach the coach sessions which provide coaches detailed and proven methods of coaching

•ACE provides a library of online drills, coaching guidelines and short videos to assist in planning coaching sessions

•ACE provides all coaches a large library of coaching DVD’S which can be borrowed and watched at home at convenient times

•Most importantly ACE provides five qualified Football Director’s of Coaching who are responsible for the guidance and development of all ACE coaches

ACE is proud of the enthusiasm of our parent coaches. Whilst many started with no formal coaching qualifications, more than 90% of ACE coaches had completed either a grass roots, junior or youth coaching license.
