Hamish waiting for specialist opinion on injury

ACE midfielder Hamish Maguire missed most of last night’s Westfield FFA Cup tie against Jets – but he hopes to be back soon.

Hamish, who joined us from UQ during the summer, twice needed treatment on the pitch in the opening exchanges of the cup tie at Wolter Park.

The second time he left the field and was taken to hospital, but was thankfully back home today.

“There was challenge in the first couple of minutes where I landed on my shoulder which I feel may have put it out of place,” he said.

“I tried to play on. A few minutes later there was a shoulder to shoulder (challenge) and it completely come out after that.

“I won’t know the extent of the dislocation until I see a specialist, but I'm hoping it'll only be at least a couple of weeks.”

We all wish Hamish a speedy recovery and return to action.
