Major midfield boost
ACE welcome back four key players
ACE will have a number of key players returning to action on Saturday when Western Pride visit Wolter Park.
In a pre-season double header against NPL Queensland opposition, ACE Reserves face Western Pride at 4.30pm and the Seniors at 6.30pm.
The midfield will show most changes from last Saturday's 3-1 win over The Gap thanks to goals from Royce Brownlie (2) and Chom Arop. Making his ACE debut will be Jonathan Marraiya after his summer move from Moreton Bay United.
Jamie Vesey, a key figure last season, is also likely to play along with new signing Hamish Maguire, a former ACE junior who was with UQ last season and the returning Yasu Fujimoto, pictured.
"At the moment I have a very good feeling about the squad I have," said ACE coach Pouria Nabi.
As an added incentive, Pouria said all ACE juniors who come and support the teams on Saturday and wear an ACE shirt, will get a free sausage sizzle.
This will be the last pre-season fixture before ACE start their Silver Boot Cup fixtures against last season's beaten grand finalists Mitchelton at Richlands on Tuesday, 6.30pm.
The other fixtures are: ACE v Easts, January 24, 8.30pm; ACE v Grange, January 31, 6.30pm.
