ACE will face three NPL sides and two FQPL 1 teams in Pool B of the first Kappa Pro Series.
Entering their first season in Queensland’s second tier, ACE start the Series at Western Pride (FQPL1) and then host Brisbane Roar (NPL) in February.
Brisbane Strikers (FQPL1) visit Wolter Park in March, ACE travel to Gold Coast Knights (NPL) in April and then host Brisbane City (NPL) in May.
The Kappa Pro Series has been introduced by Football Queensland to “provide players in Queensland’s top men’s competitions with an opportunity to gain additional match minutes against varied opposition through the year”.
These matches are in addition to clubs’ pre-season games and Australia Cup ties.
All teams in the NPL Qld and FQPL1 leagues for 2023 are involved, including Moreton Bay United who face two NPL sides and three FQPL1 teams in Pool B.
Jets begin with a trip to Sunshine Coast (FQPL1) and host Logan (FQPL1) in February. They travel to Peninsula Power (NPL) in March, Surfers Paradise (FQPL1) in April and host Sunshine Coast Wanderers (NPL) in May.
Following the group stage, semi-finals and a final will be held, with the winner of each pool then going into the Finals Series.
