ACE has received a major boost for next season with Steve Snaith back in the red and black.
The highly-influential midfielder has re-signed for our debut season in FQPL2 – the third tier in Queensland’s football structure.
Steve only missed two games as ACE won the Football Brisbane Premier League Premiership and Canale Cup last season.
He was also named in the Brisbane Premier League team of the season.
“I’m looking forward to new tests and facing new teams,” he said, “I think it (FQPL) will be stronger next season with teams like us and Surfers Paradise.
“Other teams might also have saved themselves a bit last year, when they weren’t going to win the league, with an eye on next season.
“I hope we have a good season. I was happy to see Jarod Lancaster’s back and it would be good to get some new faces in to freshen things up.”

Steve is also looking forward, rather than back to ACE’s successes and their remarkable unbeaten run to the premiership last season.
“I’ve not even thought about winning the league and going unbeaten next year,” he said, “it will be much harder (in FQPL2).
“Last season was unbelievable in that respect, but don’t think it’s going to happen again.”
ACE will face Souths, Holland Park, Wynnum, Grange, Taringa, North Star, Magic United, Samford, Virginia, Coomera and Surfers Paradise.
The central midfielder has had a complete rest from football, though in the last two weeks he has been “doing my thing and getting into shape”.
“Our training sessions are pretty intense and will be when we back in January,” he said, “and I’m sure Steve will have got some (pre-season) fixtures sorted out.”
Steve joined ACE last year after a spell at Brisbane City who he joined after arriving from the UK.
There he played in the Conference North just below the English Football League at Whitby Town, Guisborough, Hartlepool and Workington in England’s North-East and north west.
