BROOKE Dutton has gone back to the future by signing for our Women’s Capital League side.
The 19 year old spent five years (2013-2017) at ACE rising from the Under 13s to City Women’s League 1 side.
Brooke then made the short trip to Peninsula Power and the Women’s Premier League.
But now she is back at Wolter Park having put pen to paper for ACE.
“After last season I wanted a fresh start,” said the midfielder, whose career started at North Star “and thought this would be good for me.
“It’s somewhere I know and with a new coach. I want to improve, obviously, and just enjoy my football.”
ACE coach Jamie Sanckson is delighted with the signing and with what he has seen in the first few pre-season training sessions.
“Brooke is a hardworking player and a technical player,” said Jamie of the central or right-sided midfielder.
“On what I have seen Brooke is good on the ball and keeps the ball well, which is important for a player in her position.
“We spoke about Kate (Sherratt) and the tenacity she brings, well I think Brooke will balance that with the technical side of her game.”
Brooke has followed Victoria Brebner, from Power and Kate Sherratt, from Grange for the 2020 season.
Morgan-Lee Martin, Rebecca Voigt, Rachael Voigt and Mikarlah Born have returned to ACE from last season.
