Chloe Globke says ACE will “definitely” bounce back from last weekend’s defeat in the opening round of FQPL2 Women’s.
ACE went down 4-0 at UQ on their FQPL debut, but the midfielder said: “I don’t think it reflected the game or what our season will be.
“We have a really, really strong side and we are definitely good enough for this league. We’ll definitely come back.”

That starts on Saturday when AC Carina are the visitors to Wolter Park – Under 23s kick-off at 1pm and Women at 3pm.
AC Carina finished runners up to Broadbeach in the Brisbane Women’s Premier League last season and Grand Final.
They opened the 2022 season with a 4-2 win at home to Annerley last Friday, but will face a determined ACE team this weekend.
“We’ve been working on certain things in training this week, areas which were not so good and the confidence is still there,” Chloe said.
“We have just been promoted and know we have a lot to improve on, but we will definitely come back from last week’s game.
“I thought we were competitive (at UQ), apart from about 10 minutes when we fell asleep and they scored three times.
“No excuses for that. I should not have happened, but over the whole game, over 90 minutes, they did not overrun us.”
ACE hope to have new signing Tahlia Carney, who has played for Mitchelton, The Gap and Virginia, back from injury for Saturday’s game.
ACE Under 23s start Super Saturday at Wolter Park against AC Carina Under 23s at 1pm also looking to bounce back from defeat at UQ last weekend.
