ACE and Moreton Bay United have honoured their leading senior players, volunteers and sponsors in the 2023 Senior Presentation Awards at Eatons Hill Hotel on Saturday.
Major annual awards for the senior teams of both clubs, from Under 23 to Over 45s were presented, alongside special trophies from ACE President Tony Dooley and Moreton Bay United Chairman Ben Parkin.
Fittingly, coaches, players and managers from teams paid tribute to the award winners and thanked the unsung heroes – volunteers who run both clubs and sponsors for their generous backing.
Frank Marchetti also announced the 2023 winners of the Mike Parikka Spirit Award – named after the former ACE Over 35 player who collapsed and died while playing at Brendale in 2016.
