“It’s exciting to have 14 players representing ACE at the Community Cup, we congratulate each of them on this achievement,” ACE Junior Vice-President Jason Gilbert said.
“This is a great number of players to have involved in the Community Cup. It is a testament to the players’ drive and determination and also the coaches at ACE for continuing to develop both the teams and the individuals each week.
“The Community Cup will be a week of making new friends and memories that will last a lifetime as well as getting to challenge and test themselves against peers from across the SEQ region.
“So we wish every player representing ACE and their region all the best for the week. We know they’ll enjoy their time and make themselves, their families and their clubs proud.
“And most importantly, remember to have fun!”
The Community Cup brings together players, coaches and referees from across the state giving junior players a chance to play at representative level against other regions.
The 2021 event, run in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council, will feature more than 700 junior boys and girls from across regional and South East Queensland.
Brisbane Metro will be sending 14 teams from Under 12 Girls and Boys, through to Under 16 Girls and Boys.
